I know I'm not a big social net-worker in the first place but I really hate Twitter. It is like facebook status updates taken to the umpteenth degree. I have absolutely no need to know every mundane second of people's lives. The youtube video (from the CPL 2.0 main page) that claims Ashton Kutcher has more Twitter followers than the population of several countries is, in my mind, a disturbing statistic. So much time and attention is focused on such pointless triviality. The fact that it is constrained to 140 characters only assures the shallow pointlessness of such responses.
There may very well be valid use for this technology but I've yet to hear of it.
