I know I'm not a big social net-worker in the first place but I really hate Twitter. It is like facebook status updates taken to the umpteenth degree. I have absolutely no need to know every mundane second of people's lives. The youtube video (from the CPL 2.0 main page) that claims Ashton Kutcher has more Twitter followers than the population of several countries is, in my mind, a disturbing statistic. So much time and attention is focused on such pointless triviality. The fact that it is constrained to 140 characters only assures the shallow pointlessness of such responses.
There may very well be valid use for this technology but I've yet to hear of it.

Delicious
I have previously accessed the best websites link from out E-library and have found it to be quite useful. I will continue to use it as a work resource but I do not think I will sign up for personal use. I simply do not have that many sites that I bookmark. I have 5 or 6 sites that I check regularly and can easily remember all of web addresses.
LibraryThing
LibraryThing is a fairly interesting site. I like how it recommends booklists based on your collection but it sort of seemed like it was just pulling up a bunch of books by the same authors. It would have been nice to have a bit more variety on the generated list.
I would have liked to have been able to view books separated by a specific genre and also separated by average review score (best of the best).
The site wasn't very user friendly as the pages were crowded with text and images but I was able to navigate without too much trouble.

Online Productivity Tools
I gave google documents a whirl and found it to be a fairly useful program. I don't think it is something I would regularly use however. I like that you can save and access your files through the Internet but I always just save my files and email them to myself anyways, which is essentially the same thing. Though it may have the same functions as Microsoft word, I am more familiar and comfortable with MS's offering. Word is also more aesthetically pleasing (though this is expected as it is a paid for product).

Social Networking
I've never understood people's obsession with facebook. I have had an account for several years but I very rarely check it (once every few months). I mainly use it to send out invites for events or to post photo albums. I understand its usefulness in keeping in touch with friends, especially if they live far away. As all of my friends live in the city, and as I really only have a dozen or so friends that I care about (not the hundreds of "facebook friends" that everyone seems to have), the site hasn't held much interest for me. I don't even think I've ever posted a "status" update. For me it is definitely a time waster.
Wikipedia
I searched quite a while for an article I could edit but everything I could think of already had a wealth of information written about it. Even the most minute areas had sizable entries. The most I was able to accomplish was adding a "spoiler warning" to a plot synopsis for a book I have recently read. I learned just how easy it is to edit a page however. I knew that it was open for public editing but I always thought there was more checks and regulations.
Flickr & YouTube
Like many people my age, I have used Youtube many, many times. It's a great site and though I haven't submitted my own videos, I frequently use it to search up movie trailers, video game tips, or just stupid, funny things to waste time. I've never had a problem with the site as it has always been very user friendly.
I have never heard of, let alone used Flickr before and though the site seems to be fairly accessible, I do not think I will use it. I don't often upload photos but when I do I generally put them on my facebook account.

RSS
I was able to set up my RSS feed with many of the sites I regularly browse. It most definitely makes it more convenient to check my sites but I'm not 100% sure I'll use it as a primary resource. I prefer the look of the sites themselves, with pictures in the articles and more colour and activity. Bloglines is boring in comparison. Definitely something I'll try though.
Google Universe
I have used many of these programs before (scholar, chrome, maps, gmail) but I had never tried out google earth. It's pretty crazy the way it zooms in from space to a small location. It really gives you a sense of how small we all are. I would recommend it to both colleauges and customers.
